This bowl does not follow the usual round, symmetrical shape. Its surface is worked all over with grooves, small craters and crack-like marks, so the texture changes as you turn it in your hands or move around it on a shelf. The overall form is organic, closer to weathered stone or coral than to a standard kitchen bowl.
It suits a spot where it can be looked at as much as used: on a sideboard, a windowsill, the centre of a table when you are not eating from it. Fill it with fruit, keys, small stones, or leave it empty and let the texture do the work. It is the kind of piece that gets picked up and turned over the first time someone visits.
As shipped, it measures about 23 cm long, 17 cm wide and 14 cm tall. It is printed to order in our Cyprus studio and shipped worldwide, so allow a little time between ordering and it arriving on your shelf.
