This bust takes its bearing from Ancient Egyptian sculpture: the striped headdress, the level gaze, the stillness of the pose. The surface is smooth enough to read as stone or metal, depending on how it is finished, and the proportions carry that old sense of calm authority even at a fraction of the original scale.
It suits a spot where you can look up and meet its eyes now and then — a bookshelf, a windowsill, a desk corner among papers. It is not a toy or a tool, just a fixed point of interest in a room, the kind of object that gathers a little more meaning the longer it sits there.
