This sculpture reduces a Golden Retriever to its essential shape: a calm, seated pose rendered in smooth, simplified planes. The style sits somewhere between realistic and minimal, so the dog is instantly recognisable without every hair or fold picked out. It has the quiet weight of a proper decorative object rather than a figurine.
It suits a shelf, a mantelpiece, or a spot on a sideboard where you can see it properly. Set it near a window and the light will pick out the curve of its back and the angle of its ears. It works as a standalone piece or alongside other small sculptures, holding its own without needing company.
